Hi, my name is Yevgen. I’m from Ukraine and have been living in London for two years.

I’m an artist and focus on painting. I spend most of my time in the studio, so I rarely interact with people, and on top of that, I’m a bit self-conscious about my English. My level is B2 (upper intermediate), which means I can explain and express a lot, but with some mistakes 😅. My biggest challenge is that people speak too fast, use a lot of contractions, and, of course, I don’t know many words, so I often get stuck when following conversations. However, if I understand the question, I can definitely explain and talk about different topics. I’m quite communicative and try to express myself in different ways.

I would really love to meet and talk to people to practice my English! If you’re interested in contemporary visual art, we’ll definitely have plenty to discuss. Or if you’d like to learn more about art, I’m the right person to tell you everything from deep art history to ultra-contemporary trends.

My native language is Ukrainian, I speak Polish quite well, and of course, there’s my English, which could definitely be better 😅.
