Hi, I'm Sophie!

Originally from UK, been in Dubai for last 5 years. I have keen interest in learning Hindi as my partner is Indian & it's important for me to start to picking up the language. Especially for when we meet his family and friends, so I can try to keep up with some conversations... and jokes! (no-one enjoys translating a joke post punch line lol)

My interests: food & cooking, yoga, meditation & pranayama, being outdoors (in winter!) - golf, beach, hiking treks, camping, desert off roading, law of attraction, spirituality & am a big animal lover.

My existing Hindi vocab: ask me what aloo, haldi, gobi, jeera, roti is etc & I'll tell you immediately! Else, I have very little vocab, so I'm in the newbie category.

I'll be so happy to exchange skill & knowledge with someone - I would rather this instead of taking a language course, as I really like the idea of giving back.
Personally I am more comfortable with a female language exchange friend.
