Hi I’m Sofie! I grew up in California my whole life, but my family is from Bolivia. I wish to do study abroad next fall (about a year from now) and need to improve my Spanish as much as I can. I can generally understand most of what someone is saying, but I struggle forming my words and with grammar, but I do well with immersion. I learned pretty fast when I went to Argentina and Chile 2 years ago, but it was only 4 months so I didn’t have enough time to become fluent. I’m hoping once I learn enough Spanish and get better at communicating conversationally, I can also start learning Quechua and Aymara to honor my grandfather. Hoping to speak to people either from Chile or Bolivia! My program will be in Chile, but I plan to travel to Bolivia as well.
