Language.Exchange

I used to be journalist - but I have just about stopped doing that. I still teach it a bit at Uk universities, meeting people from all countries but always working in English. Now I have more time, I like to travel and especially to Germany and Berlin. Last February I went to a language course for a month in Berlin, to try to improve my spoken language. If I ever became good enough I might be able to work as a journalist in German. That is a long way off as I am just about B1+ level. Usually the people I meet learning languages are younger than me, but we can still have good conversations. I have a family and two sons and a daughter who is actually fluent in German - another reason to learn the language myself. I enjoy music and play in a swing band, and also guitar on its own, plus I like the sea....
