My name is Roosa, I'm 28 and from Finland. I like to write poetry, drink tons of tea, travel, send snailmail, learn languages and paint. I also love animals, and I handfeed wild birds in our garden every winter.
I've been learning Arabic for almost 3 years now, and I still feel like a beginner, though my knowledge of grammar and vocabulary has become larger lately. My biggest dream is to become fluent in Arabic. I'm especially interested in Levantine dialect, but at the moment I need to focus on fusha and MSA first. I hope to find new Arabic-speaking female friends / penpals to encourage me with my studies. Maybe we could even practise together. I'm willing to help you with Finnish, and my English is quite good as well.
Besides Arabic, I also study Persian, and I'm getting started with Urdu, but at the moment I want to focus on Arabic especially.
Have a lovely day! :)

Hello everyone, my name is Aleksey. At the moment, I am actively studying Finnish, English and Spanish. My hobbies are quite diverse, so I can maintain a dialogue on any topic, but only when I master the language... I will be glad of any help.

I am a dedicated physiotherapy student at SAMK University, eager to learn Finnish. Combining my passion for the human body with the beauty of the Finnish language, I strive to become a proficient physiotherapist capable of connecting with Finnish-speaking patients on a deeper level. Embracing challenges, I am committed to the journey of mastering Finnish and bridging the gap between science and culture in my future practice. And I would love to get help with learning the language.

Hi! I’m Mia. I have a habit of becoming totally infatuated with things, specifically learning new things, and absorbing as much information about a subject as I can. I love a good book, especially one I have to hunt down and learn a new language for. (Currently, it’s Le rempart des Béguines!)
I would prefer to do a language exchange with a woman, rather than a man. No offense intended! If we get along well, it doesn’t matter as much, but I can be a bit skittish. Sorry!
I keep every single bouquet I receive, and consequently, my apartment is full of dried flowers. Some of them I pick myself! I like to press flowers, too. I’m not trying to brag with my bouquets, frankly most of which represent embarrassing moments of my life, but what I AM trying to do is say I love and appreciate small, beautiful things! These dry flowers that make a mess of every surface in sight are like a souvenir from the future to me. I want to one day live a peaceful life in some old, grubby house in the countryside and perhaps have some goats or something. Catch my drift?
My other interests are just as nerdy as the aforementioned literature, including but not limited to building computers and wasting all of my time at the library. Music is something I always forget to mention because is just such a huge part of my life, that I feel like I don’t even need to say it. I’m on last.fm, that’s how deep in it I am! I’m just as crazy about instruments, as I am about languages. Working on learning the cello right now!
I am planning to take a flight to France this summer and stay there for as long as I am able, and I’d love to learn enough French to survive before then! I’ve been studying it on my own for a little while, but I’m not quite confident enough to say I properly speak it yet. My English is stellar though, and I have a good base for learning French, given that I’ve already studied both Italian and Spanish.
Note that I've added English into both "native" languages and the ones I'm studying! It's because my English is very good, and I am confident in my ability to help others with it, but it isn't my native language, and I'd still be interested in learning more profound, intricate parts of it through language exchange.
Would love to get to know some interesting people and improve perhaps my French and their English?! Let me know! I can also most likely help with your Finnish, given that I’m a native speaker, and I’m more than open to improving a language other than French (as long as it’s on my profile… mostly. :P I’m too curious to rule everything else out though!)
