Hi, I’m David from China, currently studying in Canada.
I’m hoping to connect with native English speakers who are interested in Chinese culture and learning Mandarin, so we can help each other improve our language skills.
I can teach you Chinese, and you can help me improve my English. I’m able to communicate in English in daily conversations, but it’s not very strong yet, so I’d really like to improve.
I hope we can have a video chat once a week to support each other and practice together.
It would be ideal if you’re from Canada or the United States, since our time zones would match better. But people from European countries are also very welcome!

I learned a little German many years ago in my 20s, in Switzerland, but in the last 6 months I've gotten quite serious about learning it properly. I do a lot of passive learning (podcasts, videos, reading) and some online courses, vocabulary flashcards, etc., but I have few chances to practice speaking. I have one language exchange partner in Germany, with whom I video-chat weekly, and I find this very helpful and rewarding. I'm at a lower-to-mid intermediate level.
My other main interests are reading (I'm in several book clubs), cooking, gardening in summer, and quilting in winter. I'm curious about all kinds of things and just really like information.
