I was born and raised in the USA. I moved to Seattle after graduating college and work at a large tech company. I enjoy reading, video games, biking, hiking, and more.
I studied Japanese in college but it never really stuck. My wife and I visited Japan last year and it was an amazing experience for both of us! We'd love to go back and I am going to dedicate myself to learning Japanese again.
I'd love to do regular voice or video calls with you to help me learn and in exchange I am more than happy to help you with English.

Hello! My name is Daniel, and I’m delighted to connect with fellow language enthusiasts here. Originally from the beautiful country of Croatia, I’ve been calling the vibrant city of Seattle, Washington my home for the past 25 years. I’m 38 years young and live with my adorable 5 cats and 2 dogs who keep life interesting!
My academic journey in English and Applied Linguistics has been quite fulfilling. I’ve spent 5 amazing years teaching English as a Second Language at the University level, where I discovered my passion for languages and cultural exchange.
Professionally, I currently lead a dynamic team at Amazon, focusing on managing Enterprise accounts with a particular interest in assisting non-profit organizations. I am currently working towards my MBA at Boston University.
When it comes to languages, I’m fluent in English, and strong in Croatian, Bosnian, and Serbian. I’m thrilled to offer my expertise in English and Croatian and equally excited to learn Chinese Mandarin or Tibetan. My goal is to improve as I plan a trip to visit China and Tibet in the coming years.
In my free time, you’ll find me indulging in a variety of hobbies. I love horse riding, boating for a good catch, and hiking with my dogs through the scenic trails around Seattle.

I am a retired software engineer from Seattle, US. I am trying to learn to speak Mandarin Chinese. My speaking level is intermediate. I also speak some Cantonese. Would like to improve my speaking proficiency. I am a graduate from the University of British Columbia and I speak English fluently. Would like to exchange Chinese speaking sessions with someone who like to improve their English speaking fluency. I like to watch all kinds of sports. Tennis is my favorite sport. Hi friends! I am a current PhD student/fellow at the University of Washington. As a Korean-American, I grew up with Korean being my first language. However, it's gotten pretty elementary as the years have gone by.
