I’m a native English speaker, but I have a Masters Degree in Spanish (focus is on Latin American literature) and I formerly taught beginning and intermediate Spanish at a University. My level of Spanish is “Superior” according to the ACTFL OPI test.
In graduate school, I took two semesters of Brazilian Portuguese, and have reached a level of “Advanced Low” according to the ACTFL OPI. However, I am looking to improve my Portuguese, and be less dependent on my knowledge of Spanish when speaking it.
I am happy to help someone with English (American) or Spanish (Latin American) in exchange for help with Portuguese (preferably Brazilian).

Hi! I am a Ph.D. student in Neuroscience. I like playing badminton, watching animes (Samurai Champloo is my favorite) and reading literature (I have just read the Romance of the Three Kingdom, the version by Mitsuteru Yokoyama). Although I have been in the US for 5 years, I feel my English skill is still premature. Practicing English will definitely improve my life as an international student, which is why I started using this service.
