Hi, I'm Charles. I live just outside Pittsburgh (USA) with my wife, our five children, a giant fuzzy dog, and 18 chickens. As the old song put it: "There's always something happening, and it's usually quite loud!"
I studied Latin as a little boy, ancient Greek in high school (although all I can remember of it is "Thalatta! Thalatta!" when Xenophon's ten thousand men saw the sea once more), Chinese in high school and college, Spanish by osmosis while living in Texas, and German as a project that started in college and has continued for over 20 years since then. I'm probably to level A2 in Spanish and Chinese, and B1 (or perhaps B2 if I'm firing on all eight cylinders!) in German.
