I use a dictionary, so conversation will be slow at first. I am learning through several online sites, but I want to talk with people, too. I also speak a little French.
I have had a career in writing, tv, and radio, so I think that I'm a good person to help you with your English. The second half of my career, my focus has been on helping people to understand mental illnesses.
I studied Anthropology in school and have a Master's degree in Social Work. I am very interested in how different people see the world. I'm also interested in family and friends, travel, nature and the outdoors, movies, tv and books, and other things. When I travel, I like to bring home recipes as souvenirs. I also like making things because I like problem-solving and being creative and useful. Right now I am making a ladder for my cat, and I am weaving a sleeping mat for homeless people.
I don't know how this language exchange works because I've never had a language partner before, but I think we could talk for half the time only in English and half only in Swahili.

I am a beginner Japanese speaker but can read hiragana and katakana. My native language is English and Spanish (Mexico) but am more familiar with English as it is the main spoken language in the United States.
My hobbies are drawing cartoons, playing video games, and watching youtube videos.
I would love to make a penpal here as I am studying abroad in Japan in July and would like to keep up with the language after the program is finished.
While I am not a teacher, I don't mind teaching you English and maybe even basic Spanish as well!

I'm a college student in Austin Texas, and I recently got into language learning! I would love to be able to get fluent in Japanese and Spanish so I can watch native media like Japanese movies and Anime, and Spanish shows and Youtube channels.
In my spare time I play piano and guitar, and I'm starting out on many personal projects at the moment like running and drawing as well.
I'm an electrical and computer engineering major so I enjoy technology and science talks as well, but I would love to just chat about stuff that happened this week or common hobbies, as that would be really helpful for language learning.
