I'm Lars. I'm a big philosophy, literature, art and language nerd looking for someone equally obsessed with any of those to exchange letters with to practice my writing. Right now, I'd mainly like to do Italian, but if there's some serious German letter writers out there who are cool with 1500+ words on theoretical subjects I'm hella down. Of course you can write me in Dutch or English. Whichever one you're practicing. If you're just looking for a penpal and want to write in your own language that's even better for me. If you wanna turn it into a book club that's EVEN better for me. In German I'm really into Thomas Mann, Bertold Brecht, Heinrich Böll and all of the philosophers. In Italian I've just started the serious authors and mostly read Italo Calvino. Also reading Giorgio Agamben and will soon start Giacomo Leopardi.
Apart from my obsessions I'm also pretty chill and we can chat on nature, cooking, feelings, fashion, whatever; I'm pretty talkative. If you live in Utrecht or Zeist we can definitely hang out.

I'd like to practice Dutch on regular basis with native Dutch speaker. Because it is so difficult to sustain your Dutch language conversations in Utrecht. In daily life, most native speakers would switch to English once hearing the accent!

I am currently living in The Netherlands. I love learning multiple languages.
I used to learn Japanese in the past, and now I want to pick it up again, especially the writing.
I am interested in multiple things from culture, art, science, to literature, philosophy, etc.
I like drawing, reading books, including novels and manga, as well as non-fiction books. I also like watching movies and anime.
Although I am not an English native speaker, I am quite comfortable with my English because I'm using it on a daily basis for quite a long time. However, there is always room for improvement. I am very happy if you want to practice English with me.
