I lived in China for 5 years teaching English and studying at Shanghai University, I am back in Canada and interested in continuing studying Chinese. I am also interested in studying Korean.

I learned a little German many years ago in my 20s, in Switzerland, but in the last 6 months I've gotten quite serious about learning it properly. I do a lot of passive learning (podcasts, videos, reading) and some online courses, vocabulary flashcards, etc., but I have few chances to practice speaking. I have one language exchange partner in Germany, with whom I video-chat weekly, and I find this very helpful and rewarding. I'm at a lower-to-mid intermediate level.
My other main interests are reading (I'm in several book clubs), cooking, gardening in summer, and quilting in winter. I'm curious about all kinds of things and just really like information.
