Hello,
I'm looking for Georgians who want to get better at English. I'm especially looking for someone who wants to study English business writing, although any other locals who want to get better at speaking or general writing are also welcome to contact me.
I don't have a TEFL certification, but I do have several years of experience running a Philosophy student group when I was in college, so I'm pretty familiar with basic educational techniques.
I've also successfully built an English-language freelance writing business from scratch. When I first started, I wrote for small apartment complexes and family law firms, but eventually built my career to the point where I was working for the largest cryptocurrency news site in the world. So if you want tips on how to get clients to pay you to write in English, I can offer that as well, although obviously not everyone will want to pursue that career path.
I want two things from you in exchange:
1. Teach me Georgian, using the GEOFL curriculum created by the Georgian government (found at the website with the same name). If you're a native speaker, this should be easy for you, although it will require a lot of patience because I have trouble pronouncing some of the sounds. I've already learned the alphabet, so we would just need to start with the first chapter after the alphabet parts.
2. Introduce me to other Georgians that might benefit from getting to know me. I have lots of connections in the cryptocurrency public relations and media industry, but they are all international. Here in Georgia, I know three real estate brokers, an owner of a Turkish restaurant, a receptionist at a local hotel, and a medical student. Out of these six people, only two are locals; the rest are expats like me. So I need more local connections, especially ones who are driven, skilled in their fields, and bring a positive, growth-oriented energy to their interactions.
