Happy to help you with your Russian and or English; native proficiency in both. My French is working but very rusty but used to be ok. I love hiking and other outdoorsy things with my dog. I do stand-up here in NYC, like physics, math, philosophy, languages, psychology, and... too many other things!
Looking to meet for about an hour a week.
-Anya

My father's side of my family is from Taiwan, but I didn't grow up with him and never learned the language. I'm excited about learning Chinese and would be happy to help others with their English as well. I live in and work in New York and ideally I would like to find someone I can have face-to-face conversation with in the city, but video chat can work as well.

I'm Thomas,
I love learning languages and traveling. I'm currently studying Russian, but I've also studied Spanish, French, Portuguese and Vietnamese in the past.
I'm a teacher of sorts; I put out an educational podcast designed for intermediate English Language learners who want to practice their listening skills and their pronunciation skills. It's about American Culture.
I like photography, film, reading, working out, playing music and more.
I'd love to meet a friend on here to do stuff and learn both our target languages at the same time!

Hello everyone 😁
To keep it short: I like food, tea and conversations on psychology, philosophy, sociology etc. I'm from Chicago originally, but lived in Milan for four years and Montreal for two. I also have a bachelor's degree in math. I am a terrible nerd.

I am a Hasidic Jewish native New Yorker, trying to learn Arabic, so I can better communicate and understand the Arab culture and world. I am a beginner, but am very passionate about it. I can also read and write Arabic.
I don’t have much extra time, but am looking for someone I can speak and learn together, bi-weekly or once a week.
Besides English, I speak Yiddish and Hebrew fluently. Looking forward connecting!

My name is Emma and I am currently living in Bushwick, working in Manhattan at an auction house. Looking to keep up my French which has gotten very rusty since I graduated college! Would love to meet somewhat regularly with a native French speaker OR a native English speaker who is similarly determined to practice their French. Very happy to help with your English!
I'm super into the culinary arts, cooking, baking, fermenting, etc. as well as yoga (ashtanga) and hiking. Happy to share socials or whatever else you're interested in connecting with! Hard to sum oneself up in a blurb like this :)

Hi there!
My name is Dan, I'm a photographer who is based out of Brooklyn who is looking to learn Japanese. I'm also slowly studying French and perfecting my Spanish but Japanese comes first. I do travel often to Paris so I felt like I should learn French but I want to visit Japan soon and if I go alone I want to be able to speak a little bit. Plus I'm a huge fan of Japanese fashion as I wear a lot of Yohji and Comme. I'd love to get together with someone who wants to practice their English. I look forward to meeting ya'll!

I live in Park Slope Brooklyn New York, an attorney retired for almost 15 years. During those 15 years I have travelled and lived in a number of Latin American countries: Brazil, Bolivia, Peru, Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Mexico. While visiting those places I have worked as a volunteer English teacher, usually in poor and indigenous communities. I have recently been trying to improve and formalize my Spanish through language study. I just finished an intermediate level course at the University of Buenos Aires. I think the best way to develop a more sophisticated vocabulary is through reading Spanish texts. The best way to develop fluency is speaking with people who will correct your errors.

I am a retired food and wine writer. My background is in French cooking. I lived in France for over a year while I was being trained. While food is always an interest, others include literature, wine, classical music, photography (I produced the photos for my books), paintings, and Italian. My current goal is to reach level DALF C2. My grammer and vocabulary in French are pretty good. I can write competently, if not with great elegance, but my speaking is rusty and I use far fewer words than I know. I want to bring new words I've learned into my working vocabulary.
I can offer English speaking and writing. While I didn't study English at University (Berkeley), I used English to write many papers. To do that, my grammar had to be good. My spelling in English is execrable; my spelling in French is better.

Hi! I just moved to Brooklyn from Spain with my boyfriend and I kind of freak out when talking to people here, so I’d like to practice my spoken English with natives.
Also I love to share my knowledge os Spanish with others.
I love live music, bars, restaurants, knowing the city, plants, literature…
I’d like to find a person in BK to go for a walk while practicing English and Spanish :)
